20 weeks today!

Today I am exactly 20 weeks, the half way point! Hopefully the second half will fly by!

*How far along?: 20 weeks
*Total weight gain: 8 lbs
*How big is baby?: I think about 7 inches, and a little less than a pound
*Maternity clothes?: Yes!
*Sleep?: with my snoogle
*Best moment this week?: Finding out we are having a boy!

Baby Toole is a boy!!!

Well, we had our big ultrasound last Monday and our baby boy was not shy! In fact, he was very cooperative and let the tech get all the shots and measurements she needed. It is amazing how much has changed since our last ultrasound! Everything was perfect, and measured spot on at 19 weeks. She measured all the body parts, and we also saw the brain, the 4 chambers of the heart, the kidneys, and the spine, which the tech said all look great! Here is how we told our parents what we are having:

My parents- we sent them a package that had 2 wrapped packages, one labeled Bubbe (Grandma) and one labeled Zaide (Grandpa). My Mom's contained chocolate and bubble gum cigars and my Dad's had a real cigar; all were labeled "It's a boy". Here are some pictures- thank you Sarah for playing photographer!

Is Bailey going to have a little brother or sister??

We are so excited for our baby boy! His name will be Jacob Walter. Jacob is a name we both really like, and Walter is Sean's middle name, his Dad's middle name, his Grandfather's middle name, his Great-Grandfather's first name...we're not sure how far back it goes!

NT Scan results are in!

And they are normal! We are so happy! This means our baby has a very low chance of having Down Syndrome or Trisomy. If you aren't familiar with the NT Scan, here is some info:

16 week appointment/furniture ordered!

This past Wednesday was my 16 week appointment. Everything went well, the doctor found the heartbeat pretty quickly and it was 150 (down from 162 at my 12 week appointment, and the doctor says it will continue to fall). I have gained 4 lbs, which was very exciting to me since at my 12 week I hadn't gained anything yet. I guess it is time to catch up! My blood pressure is still 110/70, the lowest it has ever been! They also took another vial of blood for the NT scan, and I should get the results in about a week. And that is about all that happened at the appointment, it was pretty quick. Our next appointment (20 week) is scheduled for August 21, and if our little one cooperates we will learn the sex!

Yesterday we ordered Sprout's furniture! After a lot of research, and going to look at it twice, this is what we decided on:

The crib is Munire Essex (all the furniture will be white)-

It is a life time crib which converts into a full size bed. Here is what it looks like as a bed-

The dresser (which we'll use as a changing table) and hutch are Munire Urban-

except instead of the combo dresser pictured, there will be 6 drawers.

The furniture should be here in about 8-10 weeks, and we are very excited to set up the nursery! The only other thing we need to find is a fully upholstered glider, but that won't take as long as the furniture so we aren't too worried. My parents have offered to buy all our furniture; thank you Mom and Dad for this very generous gift! Sprout thanks you too!
